Graduated from Tokoname Industrial School. Trained at the Kyoto National Research Institute. After working at the Hokkaido Industrial Research Institute, became the first head of the Asahikawa Ceramics Institute. Later founded the Japan Ceramics Club in Harajuku, Tokyo. Veteran pottery teacher.
