Also known as Fujimoto Toshin the 3rd.
Born in Sarayama, Daimon-cho, Hiroshima Prefecture. Real name is Meisei.
1962 Graduated from Hiroshima Prefectural Fukuyama Seinokan High School.
1962 Entered Tokyo University of the Arts, Department of Fine Arts.
1966 Entered Graduate School of Ceramics, Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
1968 Graduated from the graduate school of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
1973 Opened Shinshoji Pottery Toshin Kiln in Numakuma-cho, Hiroshima Prefecture.
Selected seven times for the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition.
1999 His work was televised on NHKBS’s Yakimono Exploration Home program. The program was titled “Enchanted by Colored Paintings: Akinari Fujimoto – Numakuma-cho, Hiroshima”.
2007 Exhibition of Shinshoji Pottery at Miroku-no-sato Museum of Art.
April Participated in the First Hiroshima Ceramic Art Exhibition at Fukuya Hatchobori, Hiroshima.
2008 The second exhibition was held at the Miroku-no-sato Museum of Art.
July Participated in “Artists of Bingo Art” Exhibition at Fukuyama Tenmaya store.
2009 Assumed the name of Toshin III after the death of Toshin II.
