Ishizuka Misao 石塚操

Born in Kyoto. Graduated from Kyoto Saga Art College, and later went on to postgraduate study, while holding exhibitions at Iteza, Maronie Gallery, and Toshibi. Finished postgraduate study in 1980. Moved to Kanagawa the following year, and founded a kiln in 1982.
The kiln was named the Soen kiln. It was later moved to Hamakita, Shizuoka. Has won awards including the Graduation Exhibition Award, and an Honorable Mention at the Shinsho Kogeikai Exhibition. Uses zougan, kohiki, blue porcelain, and yakishime.
