Birth name Nariaki. Born in Osaka. Graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts. Studied under Kiyomizu Kyubey and Yagi Kazuo. Professor at the Department of Craft at Kyoto City University of Arts. Selected for the Contemporary Crafts Exhibition and the avant-garde section of the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition; currently working freelance. Has held personal exhibitions at the Biko Gallery in Osaka, Tokyo Isetan, and Kyoto Asahi Gallery. Specializes in greenware and sculptures.
