Worked at the Saga Ceramics Laboratory and Amakusa Junior High, and founded the Soyo kiln near the site of the old kilns from feudal times, which is home to the oldest kilns in the former Hirado Domain. Adding a modern twist to Joseon-style pottery, he creates greenware, red glaze, Tianqi porcelain, and brush decorated Karatsu.
