From Kyoto. As a research student at the Kyoto Institute of Craft Art, completed regular and special courses in ceramics training. Studied under his brother Morikazu. Won the Japan Craft Art Association Kinki Branch Exhibition Branch Manager’s award and Osaka Prefectural Board of Education Director’s award, and a judge of this board. Won the Modern Artist Collective Exhibition Sankei Newspaper award, member’s Honorable Mention Award, Governor of Kyoto’s award, and other awards. Selected for the Japanese Traditional Craft Art Exhibition, and has sold to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Held private exhibitions at the Mitsukoshi in Osaka, the Odakyu in Shinjuku, and other venues. Official member of the Japan Craft Art Association. Works focus on tea bowls with Tenmoku-yu glaze and Sancai.
