From Shimane Prefecture. Studied Iwami ware, Koshiwara ware, Takatori ware, and Hagi ware under Tsukigata Nahiko of Onishino. Became independent in 1972. Engages in tea bowls based on Hagi ware. Held an exhibition in Masuda in 1984 to commemorate 30 years of making ceramics.
