Studied under the 1st generation Kizan of the Mashimizu Zoroku school of Kyo ware. Won the Ceramic Art Society of Japan Exhibition Mainichi Broadcasting Award and other awards. Selected for the Japan Traditional Craft Art Exhibition and Shigaraki Ceramic Exhibition. Certified traditional artisan. Works focus on hand-formed Shigaraki ware.
