Hoshino Masayuki 星野正幸

Born in Fukagawa, Tokyo. Graduated the Literature department of Sophia University. Studied and worked at Pottery Bizen Toen in 1975. Participated in his long-cherished dream, the Aioi Ogama Project led by Mori Togaku in 1979. In 1981, using the Bizen old kiln and Aioi Ogama as a reference, he constructed the direct-flame Anagama, and had his first firing the following year. Held solo exhibitions at Minami Aoyama Green G, Himeji Yamatoyashiki, Tateyama Itoya, Sendai Fujisaki, and more. Is skilful at Himozukuri string-making and light colored firing.
