Born in Fukuchiyama city, Kyoto. Graduated from Kyoto University of Fine Arts (present-day Kyoto University of the Arts) Art Crafts department, majoring in ceramic ware. Studied under Tomimoto Kenkichi and Kondo Yuzo. Awarded the Shinshou Kogei Exhibition Honorable Mention Award, Governor Award, Kyoto Newspaper Award, and member. Held a solo exhibition at the Tomimoto Kenkichi Memorial Hall. Primarily works with Shiraji.
