Graduated from the Kagoshima Prefectural Industrial Training Institute. Studied under Okuda Yasuhiro in Ise in 1972. Returned home in 1975 and made ceramics in the Ryumonji Ware Syndicate. Won the Japan Folk Crafts Museum Honorable Mention Award. Selected for the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition. Works focus on Sancai, black Koku-yu glaze, tamanagashi running glaze, and Samehada-yu glaze.
