From Kagoshima Prefecture. Was attracted by Hirasa ware and made ceramics. Graduated from Meijo University. Graduated from the Seto Ceramic Training Institute. Studied under Takita Koichi. Started the Soboyo kiln in 1980. Won the Kokugakai Kokuten Exhibition Maeda Award and other awards. Selected for the Japan Folk Crafts Museum Exhibition and other exhibitions. Works focus on blue and white porcelain, white porcelain, blue and white pottery, and Ruri-yu glaze.
