Born in Kagawa Prefecture. Graduated from Yamato High School in Gwangju, Jeollanam-do, South Korea. Graduated from the oil painting department of Musashino Art School. Studied pottery under Yamaguchi Nagao and then under Yamamoto Yuji, a former antique art dealer. Built a kiln in the Kasama Art Village in 1967. Solo exhibitions at Ikebukuro Seibu Department Store and others. Mainly works on high-fired unglazed ceramics.
