Born in Osaka. he started pottery making in 1973 and built a kiln in Hachioji, Tokyo in 1977. Later moved to Higashi Osaka City. He has been awarded prizes at the New Traditional Craft Exhibition and others. Mainly works with ash glaze and iron painting.
