Born in Kyoto. Graduated from Kyoto University of Art, majoring in ceramics. Studied under Tomimoto Kenkichi, Kondo Yuzo, and Fujimoto Yoshimichi. Built a kiln at his home in 1971 and became independent. Exhibited at the First Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition. Held exhibitions in Kyoto, Osaka, Hyogo and other cities. Focused on celadon, white porcelain, and overglaze enamels.
