Tsuji Koya 辻公也

1928-2018malearita porcelainBorn in Arita. Studied under Tomimoto Kenkichi. Later returned to his hometown and inherited the family business, producing frit and Arita paints from one generation to the next. In 1972, he became president of the Kyushu Craft Designers Association and promoted the craft movement. He has reproduced the secret colors of kobato (blue-black) and rikyu (greenish gray).
