Born in Iga-Ueno. Studied under Hineno Sakuzo and Kato Shinobu in Mino. In 1973, he went to Western Europe to study art and later held exhibitions of copperplate prints and ceramics in various places while based in Paris until 1977. Returned to Japan and succeeded to Mita-gama kiln. Not affiliated. Held solo exhibitions at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Department Store, Nagoya Sun Gallery, and Fukushima Toen Museum of Contemporary Art. Father and son of tea ceremony pottery exhibition at Shinjuku Kakiden Gallery. Mainly woks with Iga tea ceremony pottery, ceramic boards.
