Born in Seto, he joined the Seto Ceramic Society in 1950. His work was selected for the Nitten exhibition, which was permanently preserved by Seto City. Won the Governor’s Prize at the Ceramic Art Exhibition. Awarded the Governor’s Prize at the Ceramic Art Exhibition and the Asahi Newspaper’s Prize at the Contemporary Ceramic Art Exhibition. Awarded prizes at the Asahi Ceramic Art Exhibition and Chunichi International Exhibition. Member of Japan Shinkoren. Focuses on Irabo, powder glaze, Mishima, inlay, and Oribe.
