Real name Hajime. Graduated from Tokoname Pottery School. After working as a prefectural craft instructor, trained at the Tokoname Ceramic Research Institute. Studied under Inoue Yonan (1869-1956). Received the honorary grand prize at the Vallauris International Exhibition. Works mainly with Oil drop tenmoku, brushwork, Irabo, and ash glaze.
