Studied under Tanigawa Mokudo (1935-1980) in 1969.At Mokudo’s pottery studio, he uses, white mud, Nanban style, Mogake (the technique of firing clay with seaweed to make the parts that touch the seaweed turn scarlet), Rihidei (a mixture of different colored clay powder in a red clay teapot, etc., with fine dots that look like pear skin) to create ceramics with a modern style.
