Born in Yokohama, completed the graduate course at Tama Art University in 1985. Started making pottery while still in school. Studied under Nakamura Kinpei. Selected for the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition and others. First solo exhibition at Ginza Muramatsu gallery, Tokyo. Creates large ceramic sculptures using potter’s wheel and hand twisting.
