Also known as Tashiro Hokyo the 15th. His real name is Hideto. He is the eldest son of the Seijiuemon XIV of Fukushima-Soma-Koma-ware. After graduating from Tajimi Technical High School, he studied under Kato Takuo. In 1979, he assumed the name of the 15th generation. He was selected for the Nitten, Japan New Craft Exhibition, and the Kofu-kai Exhibition. Councilor of the Fukushima Prefecture Art Association. His main works are celadon porcelain, jun ware, iron painting, and crystal glaze.

His kiln was destroyed in the 2011 earthquake and he died the same year. There was no successor, and Soma Koma-yaki ceased to exist, but the bereaved family transferred the remaining climbing kiln to the city. Soma City restored the kiln, and it is now managed and open to the public as a cultural asset.
