Born in Miyakonojo, Miyazaki Prefecture. Studied under Fujiwara Yu in Bizen, and entered Miyazaki village in 1977, attracted by Echizen ancient pottery. In 1978, he built a kiln based on the excavation plans of the kiln site and named it Kumaganouen’dara-gama Kiln. Solo exhibitions at Kyoto Tea Ceremony Salon Gion, Ginza Matsuya Department Store, Nagoya Mitsukoshi Department Store, Kanazawa Yamato Department Store. Focuses on tea ceremony pottery using scorched surface coloring.
