Born in Toyama Prefecture. Graduated from Kanazawa College of Art. Studied under Yonezawa Soho, Kitade Toujiro, and Tamura Koichi. Became independent in 1964. Joined Zodo-kai. Won prizes at the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition and the Traditional Craft Exhibition. Held solo exhibitions at Nihonbashi Takashimaya Department store and others. Focused on wax resist and double glaze work. Full member of Japan Kogei Association.
