Born in Tokyo, he received the Nikikai Honorable Mention and the Doujin Effort Prize in 1953. In 1962, he won the prize at the Contemporary Art Exhibition of Japan. He was selected for the Mainichi Modern Art Exhibition and others. Participated in the Japan International Art Exhibition and the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition. Member of the Japan Ceramic Sculpture Committee. Solo exhibition at Tokyo Bungei-shunju Gallery and Shinjuku Kinokuniya Gallery. Focused on ceramic sculpture.
