Studied under Ueda Naokata and Shimizu Uichi, and returned to his hometown in 1972 to become independent. Awarded prizes at the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition and others. Awarded the Honorable Mention at Japan Kogei Association Branch Exhibition. Solo exhibitions at Nihonbashi Takashimaya Department Store and others. Works mainly in celadon and iron glaze. Regular member of Japan Kogei Association.
