Born in Komatsu, Ishikawa Prefecture. Third-generation potter of Togaku kiln. Completed the Kyoto National Research Institute. Studied under Itaya Hazan and Tomimoto Kenkichi. Won prizes at the Kutani Ware New Work Exhibition, the Issui-kai Exhibition, and the Contemporary Art Exhibition. Komatsu City Culture Award. Technical Achievement Award, Governor’s Award. National Ceramic Art Exhibition World Culture Association Prize. Member of Japan Kogei Association and National Ceramic Exhibition Committee. Focused on Tenmoku.
