Graduated from Kanazawa Art University. Studied under his father, Togaku, and Uchida Kunio in Kyoto. Won a prize at the Issui-kai Exhibition. Won prizes at the Ishikawa Traditional Craft Exhibition and the Contemporary Art Exhibition. Awarded prizes at the Kofu-kai Exhibition, the Asahi Ceramic Art Exhibition, Chunichi International Exhibition, the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition, and the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition. Regular member of Japan Kogei Association. Focused on iron glaze.
