Born in Tokyo. Studied oil painting at Musashino Art University, and graduated from Seto Ceramics School in 1975. Later established Afriko kiln in Shibuya. Has been awarded prizes and grand prizes at the Women’s Ceramic Art Exhibition. Her works have been selected for the Traditional Craft Musashino Exhibition, the Asahi Ceramic Art Exhibition, Chunichi International Exhibition, the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition, and others. Solo exhibitions at Shinjuku Odakyu Department Store, Isetan, Kyoto Gallery-To Senbo, Toyohashi Maruei Department Store, Yokohama Matsuzakaya Department Store, Sapporo Mitsukoshi Department Store, etc. Mainly works with blue and white and high-fired unglazed ceramics.
