In 1969, he trained at the Ureshino Kiln in Hizen, and later established the Soeda Kiln in Miyashi, Tsuyazaki-cho. He has been awarded prizes at the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition and others. He uses wax resist, iron painting, and high-fired unglazed ceramics to create his works. Full member of Japan Kogei Association.
