After graduating from Aichi Pottery Training School, he trained at a pottery in Akazu, Seto, and returned to his hometown in 1969 to build a down-draft kiln at home. In 1972, he built a kiln in Sawa-gun, Gunma Prefecture. Selected for the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition, the New Works Exhibition, and the Musashino Exhibition. Works mainly with white glaze, blue and white porcelain, cinnabar, and Shino. Regular member of the Japan Crafts Council.
