Inherited the Tamba ware kiln from his father in 1938, studied under him and began to make pottery. In 1970, researched and published the red Tamba glaze, and later devoted himself to the white Tamba glaze. In 1984, began researching Chinese ceramics. Mainly solo exhibitions.
