Born in Kyoto, Japan. Graduated from the Ceramics Department of Kyoto University of Arts in 1978. Studied under Yagi Kazuo, Fujihira Shin, and Kondo Yutaka. Became independent in Nishiyama, Kyoto in 1977. His work has been selected for the Kyoto Exhibition, the Prefectural Exhibition, and others. Has held solo and group exhibitions mainly in his hometown but also in Okayama and other places. Mainly works in blue and white.
