Graduated from the design department of a high school. Graduated from Tajimi Technical High School, majoring in ceramics. Studied design under Hineno Sakuzo, Ohashi Momonosuke, and Sadoyama Yasumasa, and studied glaze under Kobayashi Bun’ichi. Later became independent with Shiba kiln. Awarded the Toki City Exhibition Education Committee Chairman’s Prize, among others. Works mainly with Kizeto and luster ware. He retired after his solo exhibition in February 2017.
