Her father was the Japanese painter Sakuraba Fujijiro. Graduated from Tokyo Gakugei University. Studied under Nagumo Ryu. Later established the Shien Kiln in Sasashita, Yokohama. Awarded the Contemporary Kogei Memorial Prize and the FUJI Biennale Silver Prize. Friend of the Contemporary Kogei Art Association. Works mainly with line engravings and purple glaze.
