Growing up in a family involved in sales of ceramics, made ceramics through self-education. Started a kiln in 1975. Works focus on Tenmoku, celadon, blue and white pottery, and Somenishiki. Won the Chunichi International Exhibition of Ceramic Arts Semi-grand Prize and Special Award. Won the West Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition Minister of Education’s Award and other awards. Selected for the Japanese Traditional Craft Art Exhibition and other exhibitions.
