In 1971, he established the Jingo Kiln in Iyo-gun, Ehime Prefecture, and became independent. In 1971, he established his own kiln, Kozato Kiln, in Iyo-gun, Ehime Prefecture, and won the Toko-kai Award at the Toko-kai National Exhibition and the Minister of Education’s Honorable Mention. Won prizes at the First Ehime Ceramic Art Exhibition and the Sangi-kai Exhibition, the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition, the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition, and others. Focuses on white porcelain, red painting and blue and white.
