Born in Shimane Prefecture. Studied under Yamamoto Shigeyuki at Sumiyama Craft Village in Kyoto. Became independent in 1977 in Kasama, Ibaraki Prefecture. Moved to his hometown in 1984. Has held solo exhibitions in Tokyo, Mito, Matsue, and Yonago. Creates a wide variety of ceramic plates, vases, and tea utensils using various ash glazes, candy glazes, and colored paintings.
