Born in Saga Prefecture. Inherited the family business of pottery making in the traditional area of old Karatsu and studied under his father. Soha is his elder brother. He has been awarded prizes at the Kyushu-Yamaguchi Ceramic Exhibition, the Western Craft Exhibition, the Kyushu Contemporary Craft Exhibition, the New Japan Craft Exhibition, the All Japan Craft Art Exhibition, and others. Solo exhibitions at Osaka Himaru and others. His works are mainly semi-porcelain, celadon, and Tobi-kanna (the potters put a plane on to the surface of a dried ceramic piece while controlling a kick wheel).
