Born in Shizuoka Prefecture. In 1956, he decided to study pottery in Kyoto, and in 1959 he opened a studio in Kitashirakawa. Awarded prizes at the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition and other exhibitions. Active in international exhibitions. Participated in Hyogo Art Now ’77, Kyoto. Participated in the “Bird’s Eye View of Contemporary Art in Kyoto”, “Generation of Ceramics” and other special exhibitions. Solo exhibitions at Maronie, Kyoto, and Imahashi, Osaka. Member of Sodeisha.
