Born in Kita-Moyasu-cho, Miyaki-gun. Graduated from the ceramics department of the Arita Technical School. Joined the Arita Ceramic Artist Village in 1977. Established Soha Limited Company in 1979. they are the fifth generation of the family to inherit the techniques and spirit of Soha pottery, which began as a branch of Saga Nabeshima and was perfected by Usui Soha, a painter in Kyoto during the Bunka era. Received the International Art Grand Prize and the Minister of Education Award. they have been awarded many prizes at the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition and others. Toured the world’s ceramic industry. they have held more than 200 solo exhibitions, including the 100th anniversary exhibition at the Tokyo Hotel Okura. Their works are mainly dyed and dyed brocade.
With the death of the sixth generation, Soha porcelain came to an end.
