Studied under Kamiya Norio. Became independent in Chiba in 1972. Moved to Niigata in 1976. Selected for the New Traditional Craft Exhibition and the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition. Held solo exhibitions at Niigata Yoh Gallery, Mitsukoshi, Nagaoka Gallery Kon, Chiba Gallery Tsubaki, Tokyo Gallery Inui and others. Mainly works with black pottery, painted pottery, high-fired unglazed ceramics and ash glaze.
