Born in Onomichi City. Entered ceramics in 1963 and studied under Matsui Yoshiyuki and Sakakibara Mitsugi. Opened his first kiln in 1973. Received awards and prizes at the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition, the East Chugoku Branch Exhibition, the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition, Chunichi International Exhibition, the Issuikai Exhibition, and others. Member of the ISSUIKAI and non-judged. Full member of Japan Kogei Association. Solo exhibitions at Shinjuku Odakyu, Nagoya Mitsukoshi, etc.
