Born in Ohtawara City. Began making pottery in 1977 in Osuna, Tochigi Prefecture, and studied under Kubota Naofumi in Mashiko in 1983. In 1985, he opened his own pottery studio “Mukayu” in Osawa, Nasu-cho. His work is centered on high-fired unglazed ceramics. Solo exhibition at Shibuya Kuroda Pottery Garden.
