From Okayama. Graduated from the Kyoto Ceramic Training Institute and later studied under Kawai Zuiho. Moved to Shigaraki in 1973 and started a cellar kiln. Selected for the Kyoto Craft Art Exhibition, Kyoten Exhibition, Japan Modern Craft Exhibition, and Japan Fine Arts Exhibition. Won the Shigaraki Ceramic Exhibition Award of Excellence. Won the Shiga Prefectural Craft Art Festival Award. Won the Prefectural Fine Art Society Award. Works focus on Gohon teacups, Mishima ware, and natural Shizen-yu glaze.
