He was taught Japanese painting by Ikeda Michio and pottery by his father Kansai, leading to developing delicately-painted Kyo ware tea utensils.
Since his first solo exhibition at the Tanko Center Tokyo branch gallery in 1981, his works have been presented mainly at department stores and galleries in Kyoto, Kanazawa, Tokyo, Yokohama, Hiroshima and Osaka.
