Born in Niigata prefecture. Graduated from Tajimi Technical High School in 1981. Later, he trained at kilns such as Sadoyama Yasumasa’s Sotoen and Chizan-toen, and became independent in 1983. Selected for Asahi Craft Exhibition, Japanese Ceramics Exhibition and others. Focused on crafts.
