In 1915, he studied at the Kyoto Pottery Training Institute, and later trained at the Kyoto, Kutani, Owari, and Kamakura Rosanjin kilns. After working at the Takaoka Industrial Research Institute, he established Senju Kiln in Etchu Seto and became independent. He received the Toyama Prefecture Excellent Technical Award. Awarded the Toyama Branch of the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition. Cultural Merit Award from the prefectural governor. Kitanihon Newspaper Cultural Merit Award.
