Born in Kitakyushu. Inspired to make pottery by old-takatori and tenmoku ceramics of Song dynasty China. Helped form the Chikutokai in 1980. Participated in research into ancient Korean kilns. Selected for the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition, other exhibitions. Solo exhibitions held at Minami Aoyama Green G, Shinjuku Keio, other venues. Primary focus on iron, ash and ameyu glaze.
