From Ichikawa, Chiba. Studied under his father Choyo and started making ceramics in 1953. Won the National Ceramic Exhibition Award in 1955. Participated in the Totokai led by Itaya Hazan. Selected for the Nitten Exhibition, Japan Modern Craft Exhibition, Japan Ceramic Exhibition, and Japan New Craft Exhibition. Created the tile wall at the Ichikawa City Cultural Hall. Created works using the string technique, Hai-yu ash glaze, and black pottery.
